  • How old is your Farm?
    Our Farm was established in 1772 before George Washington was President!
  • How old is the Barn?
    The Barn was originally built in 1844.
  • Are there animals on the farm?
    Yes! We have five rescue horses, three dogs, and cats, which are all part of our family.
  • Are pets allowed?
    Sorry but NO. Although we love all animals, we please ask that you leave your furry friends at home.
  • Are you open year-round?
    No, our season runs from May to the first week of November.
  • How much land do you have?
    We have 36 acres, and the original homestead had over 1,000 acres!
  • What are the grounds?
    Located on the property is our Main Barn, Luxury Suite, Salon, and Adirondack Cabin, along with five acres surrounding those areas.
  • Do you have Wi-Fi?
    YES, we sure do! We will give you the password once you arrive.
  • Do you have an area to park cars?
    Yes. We have a parking area close to the barn. It can accommodate 150+ vehicles. We also have overflow parking for over 150 vehicles. Please know that we cannot always guarantee an on-site handicapped parking space for anyone. These spaces are first-come, first-serve.
  • Do you host events year-round?
    Yes and No. Typically our season runs from May through the first week of November. We are open in the winter to host small intimate events with up to 60 guests in our Suite area.
  • Do you have bathrooms?
    We sure do! Our Main Barn has a commercial septic system, and we have 8 toilets and 16 sinks in the barn.
  • Are you ADA Compliant?
    Absolutely! We have a handicapped ramp that goes to the second floor of the barn, along with two handicapped restrooms (located on both floors of our barn).
  • Can I bring my own Alcohol?
    NO WAY! Our Farm is NOT BYOB.
  • Is the barn heated?
    Yes and No. We do have forced hot air heat for each floor of the barn, and it does an amazing job taking the chill out of the air! We ask that you keep in mind that our barn is over 200 years old, and it is not insulated.
  • Is the barn air-conditioned?
    No. However, our barn sits within a valley, which allows for a lovely breeze and helps circulate air throughout the building. We also have twelve ceiling fans upstairs in the main barn, which helps as well. Located on the ground level of the barn, is our Cocktail Parlor, it has concrete floors which help with keeping things cool.
  • Do you have smoking areas on the property?
    Yes. We have 4 designated smoking spots for the guests. There is no smoking in or near the barns.
  • Is there an ATM on-site ?
    Unfortunately, no, however, there is a bank just a short drive into town.
  • Can I take photos and videos ?
    Yes of course! Remember to tag the event and add your location as Lakota’s Farm Events.

  • Are children allowed?
    Yes of course! Most events are family-friendly. Please see specific events.
  • What is your Refund Policy?
    All tickets are non-refundable, re-entry is allowed ONLY the day of your ticket purchase.
  • Do you accept cards upon entry?
    Sorry, but no. Please bring cash with you or you can visit a local ATM in town.
