Workshops and concerts! Amazing presenters and artists.

An infinite amount of fun, laughter, peace, and transformation.

A collective of local, regional, and international teachers and artists coming together to share love and light to all!

Third Eye

Lakota's Farm is located in Cambridge, NY.  Nestled between the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains and the Green Mountains.  Residing in beautiful Southern Washington County,

the magic of the Mountains brings it all together.

The cool breeze, the turning leaves, watching the season change, the earth slowing down. It's a time to warm up with family and friends. It's also a great time to turn within. We are checking in with the need to slow down ourselves as we dive into Vata season. What can we do to maintain balance through times of transition?

Begin at Ahimsa, where you will learn and practice with

leaders in Ayurveda and Yoga!

Fill your cup with restorative and transformative practices.

Let go of unnecessary holding with chanting and kirtan to make space for what you wish to manifest in your life.

Begin here, continue here, move through it all with a community of love ❤️   All are welcome❤️🧡💛💚💙💜!

Primitative Camping

Camp directly on site at the festival!

We highly recommend camping with us here on the farm during the festival for the best transformational festival experience.

There is basic camping, also known as primitive camping, means that there are no amenities other than bathrooms in the main barn & porta potties. You bring in everything else.  On-site primitive camping is an add-on option when you purchase your general admission ticket price.  Note that there is a limited number of camping spots.  For the best experience, we recommend that you stay on-site and in the heart of the festival.

Book directly through The AHIMSA Festival website, not through Lakota's Farm.

CAMPING RULES:

  • Only 2-person tents allowed

  • Plan on carrying all items to the camping field.

  • No open-flame wood-burning fires are allowed at your campsite.

  • You can bring a portable propane cooking stove and use that in the field.

  • Additional bathrooms will be located at the main barn at Lakota's Farm, about a 5 min walk down to from the field.

AHIMSA SPIRIT
Ahimsa is a global community-driven festival celebrating movement, music, and soul healing through Ahimsa. Our presenters, musicians, and collaborators provide a safe space for all to explore ways to weave Ahimsa into our daily practice.

Ahimsa /əˈhɪmsɑː/ in Sanskrit means respect and love for all living beings and refraining from harming others.  AYMF aims to build a welcoming Sangha through movement, music, and mantra with the collectively shared value of non-harming to the self, all living beings, and to the planet.

MEET PRODUCER SONIA SHULTIS!

Her journey of self-exploration led her to two 200 hr and one 300 hr YTTs that opened a well of questions about life, liberty, and self-love. She found the practice of compassionate communication through these pieces of training, which ultimately lead her to meet co-producer Grace at an intensive international training on non-violent communication. More yoga training led her to @yogamandali, where she met co-producer Kristen, whom she learned she was related to - through marriage 👴🏻👵🏻! Every question, every training, every nudge of her intuition led her to a life-changing moment at her first Ahimsa Festival.

She was fortunate to meet Bernie & Katherine, who approached her with an opportunity to be as close as she possibly could to the festival as co-producer. They took her under their wing and showed her just how much work, sweat, effort, and happy tears it takes to hold space for hundreds of people drawn to a community of peace, love, and non-harming lifestyles. In the spring of 2020, Bernie and Katherine passed the torch to Sonia with the hopes that she will continue the spirit of Ahimsa as it was created and nurtured by them. Sonia is honored and excited to be trusted with this challenge 💪🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽.

Sonia is the founder and owner of TRIBE YOGA in Oneonta, NY. She teaches 1 class a week, manages a business center, supports women business owners, and produces a festival😉. She is also a mother of two, a wife to a rock climber, a daughter to two very funny parents, and mom to a rescue, Sadie, the Aussie Shep mix.

MEET PRODUCER GRACE BISHOP!

Grace is a marketer, yogi (RYT-200), and coach for budding entrepreneurs. She's thrilled to have the opportunity to co-produce Ahimsa Festival and is hopeful about the ripple effect we're all creating with a little bit more Ahimsa in the world ☮️

Grace's strongest personal value is unity through nonviolence. That's complemented by a second core value of taking the risks she needs to follow her path of authenticity. These two values seem to propel her in all of her work.

She discovered NVC (Nonviolent Communication) by chance in 2015 when a friend recommended the book 'Nonviolent Communication. Grace has been allowing her NVC practice (alongside her yoga practice) to transform her ever since.

In 2017, she met her co-facilitator, Sonia Shultis, at an NVC IIT (International Intensive Training). They've become close friends and colleagues with the shared inspiration to weave their yoga and NVC practices together.

She has facilitated practice groups and community-building in Chicago for a few years. She is lit up by the opportunity to take her practice to the Ahimsa Yoga & Music Festival.

MEET PRODUCER KRISTEN ZORDA!

Kristen Zorda (ERYT-500) came to yoga seeking a deeper connection to divinity and the world around her.  After trying different styles of yoga, she found Bhakti Yoga - which felt like the missing piece she had always been looking for.  Kristen began teaching yoga in 2014 – realizing the healing power of yoga and how it could help so many others as it helped her.  Kristen became the owner of Yoga Mandali in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 2018 and a partner of the Ahimsa Yoga & Music Festival in 2021.

For over 20 years, Kristen has been studying and practicing yoga with teachers worldwide. She honors her teachers, Gopi Kinnicutt (Bhakti Yoga D.C. ERYT 500), Lal Maharajh (Vastu School of Yoga ERYT 500), and Professor of Hindu Philosophy Edwin Bryant, PhD., as well as her past and present yoga teachers.  Kristen has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hartwick College – understanding that she wanted to help people at an early age.  Off the mat, Kristen is a mortgage loan officer and enjoys traveling, playing music, and being with her family.

Follow @yogamandali to learn about their programs and teacher training should that peak your interest!
