Finding Inspiration At Every Turn!

About Our Events...

From the first moment that Kimberly and Alan purchased the farm, Kimberly knew that she wanted to host festivals, markets, music events, and more!  Kimberly's first concept that she dreamt of and came to life was the concept of a live open-air market... which is now the Buffalo Artisan Markets!

To her, these markets would be so much more than just a " market".   Her vision for these Artisan Markets would be a community-wide family-friendly event, an event that you would want to spend your whole day enjoying!  An event that brings friends & family come together, a day of listening to live music, supporting local artists and makers, snacking on local faire, drinking a cold locally brewed beer, all while playing lawn games

Each Festival is unique and most importantly, fun! Whether it's visiting with the baby goats in the spring or painting pumpkins in the fall.  Lakota's Artisan Markets are a place for creative vendors, makers, and holistic specialists to come together and celebrate their amazing talents & products with the community.

Buffalo Artisan Markets
Many of you are already asking about our Buffalo Spirit Festival, and some of you may have noticed that we have rebranded our Spring and Fall Festivals!

We love sticking to our roots here at Lakota's Farm, giving us the idea behind the name for our “Buffalo Sunrise Festival”. Over 40 years ago, before becoming Lakota's Farm, our farm-raised Bison, in turn, was named the Buffalo Sunrise Ranch. As we felt the Buffalo brand was more fitting for our Artisan Markets, we are so very excited to share with you the new names of our festivals and what they mean to us.

BUFFALO SUNRISE SPRING ARTISAN MARKET
The name Buffalo is in keeping with our farm's history. And Sunrise is keeping with our farm's original namesake, as well as what that word means to us.
Sunrise is symbolic of birth, growth, new beginnings of all kinds, resurrection, even the creation, and nearly everything that has a cherished or hoped-for origin.

BUFFALO MOON FALL ARTISAN MARKET
The name Buffalo is in keeping with our farm's history. The name moon, as we will be 7 days out of the moon's cycle of the Fall Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon, sometimes referred to as the ‘Corn Moon’, is the closest full moon to the autumn equinox and is symbolic of a new beginning.

Although the names have changed we are still continuing our family-friendly festivals in the same manner. Taking that along with the sense of Spring being a rise from the dormant winter, and continuing in the same tradition for the fall harvest moon. while holding true to the spirit of the Buffalo that once roamed our farm, and is at the roots of Lakotas Farm.

Buffalo Spirit Festival: As many of you know our Holistic and Wellness Festival is very near and dear to our hearts, however this year we have decided to host only 2 out of our 3 festivals for 2022. This will allow us to plan for something bigger and better giving us the time to bring our true vision to light for this event, in turn, it will give us time to create more exciting plans for our Spring and Fall Markets.

Artisan Markets

When Kimberly & Casey, came up with the concept for the Artisan Festivals, their dream was to create events where friends & family could come together to support local artists and crafters, while listening to music and enjoying craft beer and special fares.

Each Festival is unique and most importantly, fun! Whether it's a hay maze in the fall for the kids, or a spiritual reading in the Spring, Lakota's Artisan Festivals are a place for creative vendors, makers and holistic specialists to come together and celebrate their amazing talents & products with the community.
